Live & Work
Goodyear is all about building community – and a sustainable one, at that. With five major master-planned communities offering lifestyles to suit a largely college-educated, professional, affluent demographic, Goodyear is home to a young, active population. Residents can be found playing golf on any one of ten area courses, hiking the Estrella Mountains or biking through the city on miles of dedicated lanes.
Goodyear is already known as a retail center for the southwest valley with the promise of a new regional mall by Macerich/Westcor, Estrella Falls, to open fall 2010. In addition the city is positioning itself as the employment center for the West Valley with the future of 50,000 employees within its 4000 acre employment area which includes an Airport Gateway office and industrial corridor radiating out from Bullard Avenue south of Interstate 10 and north of the Phoenix-Goodyear airport. The opportunity to live and work in the same city is fast becoming a reality as Goodyear continues to grow to half a million people over the next 40 years.
